We spent more time getting dressed than playing outside.

I tried taking them outside by myself in the morning and it ended up being disaster. Everything was fine at first. They were so excited to be outside and had fun playing on the porch. Then we took a few steps in the snow and...Hannah fell face first, lost her glove and got snow all over her hand. Uh oh. Time to go in! I picked a crying Hannah up and carried her in the house. Unfortunately the entryway is tiled. Snowy boots+tile=slippery. She fell flat on her back. The padding on the snow suit broke her fall so she wasn't hurt but she wasn't happy either. She tried to get up and this time fell flat on her face. Still protected by the padding but getting more upset by the minute. I had to grab Sophie (who was having a grand old time in the snow) and bring her in. So Hannah is upset and screaming and Sophie is upset and screaming because she didn't want to come in. I set Sophie on the rug while I took off Hannah's boots. Sophie promptly goes over to the tile and falls on her back. She is
not happy. I yank off her boots and immediately cue up a Yo Gabba Gabba episode which we watched with our snowsuits on until everyone could calm down.
The second time was much better.

Daddy was there to help out.

Smiles all around.
