Animal Vegetable Miracle

The struggle to get Hannah to eat has been a little easier lately. A miracle if you will. She is still incredibly picky but she now takes all of her bottles and an almost decent amount of solid food. If it wasn't already apparent how different these two girls are, take a look at their likes/dislikes when it comes to food.

Sophie: Loves her vegetables. Carrots, broccoli, green beans...she can't get enough. Fruit however is a different story. I've never met a kid who didn't like strawberries.

Hannah: Has yet to meet a piece of fruit she doesn't like. Bananas, melon, strawberries, blueberries all get a big thumbs up. Vegetables however are for tossing over the side. It's not enough to just not eat them or even push them to the side, they have can't even be on the tray.

To be fair, Hannah will eat some vegetables some times. But Sophie does not like fruit. She won't even try it. If you offer it to her she just looks at it or smashes it on the tray. She does like fruit yogurt though. Go figure.

Hannah such a giggle butt lately. She's a ham and she knows it. I was reading to her on my lap the other day and she started leaning over and blowing raspberries on my leg then looking up at me and laughing. She also loves when I sing to her, especially first thing in the morning while I change her diaper. She's always loved this even as a baby so I think it's sweet that she still loves it. She's a big Jason Mraz fan.

Sophie is my little snuggler. She loves to snuggle and be held. And she loves to sit in my lap while I read to her. She still sits on our laps while she drinks her bottle and when she's done she likes to just sit with us for a while. She's a great lounger. She is also going through a serious stranger anxiety phase (now that Hannah is finally over hers.)

I dropped them off at the daycare at the Y and for the first time ever I was called to come get Sophie because she wouldn't stop crying. The director told me that she held her for 15 minutes to she see if she could calm her down. When she walked outside the room Sophie would immediately stop crying but as soon as she walked over the line on the floor into the room she would start up again. Oy. Poor thing. But she's been better lately and when I picked her up today she wouldn't stop "talking" to me, telling me about her day. Hannah on the other hand is doing just fine in daycare. Now when I drop her off she doesn't even look back to say goodbye.

BTW Today is their 15 month birthday! We go to the doctor tomorrow for a checkup and we will see if Hannah is taken off formula.

*I know I need to add some pictures but I keep leaving my camera on and draining the batteries!
