Hannah just discovered chocolate gelt. I've told her all about it of course and they've read about it and played with toy gelt, so she knows exactly what it is. But I don't think she realized until now that chocolate gelt is CHOCOLATE gelt.
Tonight I gave them the real thing. They both "ooohd" and "aahd" over the shiny gold coins. I finally realized that they didn't know to open it up. So I showed them how to peel of the gold foil. Sophie took a bite and decided she didn't like it. Sophie does not like sweets (excluding lollipops of course!). But as you can see from the pictures, it was a huge hit with Hannah!
I found these hats yesterday. I bought them when Sophie and Hannah were 5 months old and lost them when we moved into the new house. At the time I was really upset about it. Well, I was cleaning out the closet last week and found them inside a shopping bag. Oh well. They are size 3-6 months but the girls managed to make them fit their heads! They were sitting on the back of the chair and throwing their arms in the air shouting "Halloweeeeen!" Okay. Goofballs.
I just thought this picture with Bubby was so cute.
