Aladdin

Sophie watched Aladdin tonight for the first time. She loved the movie and couldn't stop talking about the genie. As soon as she saw him she asked, "Who's that?" I said, "He's the genie!" She said, "He's blue!" I said "Yes, he is blue." Then she asked why he was blue (because he's a genie.) We followed that with a discussion on whether or not he has toes. I pointed out that he was wearing shoes so he must have toes. Sophie insisted that while yes he does wear shoes, he does not in fact have toes. And for the rest of the movie, Sophie asked about the "genius" whenever he wasn't on the screen.

I found out why all the interest when she later told Craig that she "loves the genie". Oh and her happy thought at the end of the night? Genie.
