First order of business...stop by Babies R Us and buy the girls some super cute sun hats.
We park the car, put the girls in the stroller, walk about 5 feet...
Woman and her Daughter: "Oh my god...TWINS! They're adorable! Are they fraternal? What are their names? Which one is which?"
Walk a couple more feet and decide there is just a little too much sun on Hannah's arm and Sophie's face so we stop for about 10 minutes to make adjustments to their sun shades, blankets and hats.
We start walking again.
Woman pushing a baby in a stroller with her Mother "Oh how cute! TWINS!"
Craig stops at the restroom and as I'm waiting for him I discuss the pros and cons of a c-section over vaginal birth with this woman...a complete stranger.
We start walking again.
Me: "Wow, this path sure is bumpy."
Continue walking.
Me: "Do you think they're getting Shaken Baby Syndrome?"
Craig: "No I don't."
Me: "Okay"
Continue walking.
Me: "Are you sure?"
We then stop make more adjustments to their sun shades, blankets and hat to make sure that no amount of cancerous sunlight is touching the skin of our precious baby girls. I stop at the restroom just as Hannah decides to let us know it's lunchtime. Craig finds a place in the shade to feed her as several strange men come up to talk to me as I watch over Sophie in the stroller.
Strange man (with alcohol on his breath): Pointing to the double stroller. "Twins huh? Two girls?" Opens up his wallet. "This is my grandson."
Strange man's friend: "Twins? Looks over at Hannah with Craig. "Where's the other one? I point to Sophie in her car seat covered with a blanket. He says "Oh." then LEANS OVER AND LIFTS UP HER BLANKET TO GET A LOOK.
Hannah then decides it's time to go in true Hannah fashion...she starts spitting up. Or maybe she's just giving us her opinion on the two strange men bothering her mother and sister. So we walk the 10 feet back to the car and go home.
We actually had a good time!

I can totally relate to all the strangers approaching. I laughed at the shaken baby syndrome question b/c we had that same thought when we first took them for a walk in the snap and go!
We LOVED your travelogue. How funny are you!! I hope you washed/threw away that blanket the weird guy touched.
Ohhh, so cute. You are a great story-teller Lisa and so funny. I'm glad you had such a nice outing - it looks beautiful by the water. And what can I say...the twins are the stars now!
