Bedtime Songs

Tonight after I finished singing the girls their bedtime song, they clapped and shouted "Bravo! Bravo!" Where do they get this stuff?!

Lately their bedtime songs are Christmas carols. They love them. Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Deck the Halls, Jingle Bell Rock. These girls haven't met a Christmas song they didn't like. They used to love Hush Little Baby. That was their favorite for almost a year. But now all they want is a Rudolf or Deck the Halls( or as they call it "the pudding song").

And speaking of bedtime.  Hannah does not like to go to bed.  She will stay up and find anything to do as long as it doesn't involve sleeping.  The other night I tucked her and Sophie into bed and went downstairs to watch TV.  An hour later, Hannah comes sauntering down the steps.  She walks up to me and says "Can you believe Sophie is asleep already!?!"  What a piece of work.

Then there was the time she had worked on a mosaic craft during the day.  She liked it so much that she decided to hang it up over her bed (even though it wasn't finished).  Maybe an hour after bedtime Craig and I heard her crying.  Really crying.  We rush upstairs thinking she's hurt or had a bad dream.  It turns out she was trying to finish her picture.  While it was hanging up on the wall.  She was holding up her glow worm as a light.  She was crying because she was getting frustrated.  I had to promise her I would help her finish it in the morning.  Oy.
