He has some very interesting posts. Sophie and Hannah love his books and illustrations.

Kiss Kiss

Hannah has become little Miss Kissy Face. She kisses the babies in her pop up book. She kisses Rody. She kisses Mommy and Daddy. And today she kissed her sister!

Sophie wasn't feeling well this morning. She was curled up with her Daddy, wrapped in her snuggly blanket. Hannah was walking around the room. I said "Hannah, Sophie doesn't feel well. Why don't you give her a kiss to make her feel better." She looked at Sophie, walked up to her, leaned in and...gave her a kiss. And when Hannah brought her face up to Sophie, Sophie leaned in to kiss her back. It was the cutest thing ever.

Sophie hasn't quite grasped the concept of kissing. She does like to press her face against yours which I think is her version of a kiss. She is much more selective than Hannah.

Craig and I joke that you can tell when Hannah is going to kiss you because she gets "that look in her eye". She does get this look in her eye. Then she puckers up and leans in. It's so cute and so funny. The best is when she decides to give you a kiss for no reason at all except that she loves you.

Bye Nana!

A trip to the playground
Slide!
Chatting.
I'm not sure what this thing does but it sure looks interesting.
Forget the slides, look at all these leaves!
Hannah loves her Peek A Baby book. She would turn the page, lift the flap and kiss the babies.
Bonding.

Rody

Rody
I love this toy! I don't know what it is about it that makes me laugh. Maybe because it looks so darn perky hanging out in the living room like it's just waiting for Sophie and Hannah to come by and hop on.

Rody Ride
Rody Side
Rody Improvise
Rody Climb
Rody Piggies
Did somebody say "piggies"?!
Rody Tupperw(ear)
Rody Daddy
Rody Kiss (sigh)
Thanks Nana!

Nana's Visit

We don't get to see Nana that much because she lives all the way over on the East Coast. So we were thrilled that she was able to visit us again so soon after her last trip on our birthday.

First, a trip to the zoo.
It was short visit because it was so hot. But we got to see all the animals we've read about in Polar Bear Polar Bear What Do You Hear. Hippopotamus, Peacock, Elephants, Tigers...what we enjoyed most of all was watching all the other kids.

I hear a Zebra braying in my ear!
And a trip to the zoo isn't complete without a stop at the carousel.
This time we got to ride on the animals like big girls!
It was a busy day. We were exhausted!
Today we lounged by the pool:)

Cheerios=Fun

They kept looking at each other and smiling so I pushed their chairs together.
Gasp!
They're sharing!
They thought they were being so funny!
And this is how we play with our push and ride lion toy now. Sophie props it up and "works on the engine."

Defiance

The big thing around here is hitting the windows. At first they would use their hands and they were too small to do any damage. Now it's toys. So I decided it was time to teach them the word "no". Now when I say "no" and "don't hit the window" I get giggles and more hitting the window. So I say "I'm going to take that toy if you don't stop" to which they run away from me while holding onto the toy, squealing in delight.

Then today I went upstairs to change Hannah's diaper. It took maybe 2 minutes. When I came back down I saw Sophie had her leg stuck in a toy and for the life of me I can't figure out how she did it. They always seem to do these things when I'm not watching. It's like they're saying to themselves "Hmmm, I've always wanted to know what would happen if I stick my leg in the window of this doll house. I better try it now while Mom isn't watching."

And now for some not so flattering pictures of me with my girls. I'm wearing pajamas and have some serious bed head but I had to post them since I don't have many pictures of the three of us.
But I do love my Tina Fey glasses.

This NEVER happens

I get envious when I hear other moms talk about how cute it is when their twins play together. Unless I'm playing with them, Sophie and Hannah just do their own thing. In fact I get the feeling that sometimes (a lot of times) Sophie annoys Hannah. So imagine my surprise when I caught this moment:
I was watching them, waiting for Hannah to get upset and cry.
But she was in a really playful mood!
Sophie is just thrilled.
Hannah is being unusually tolerant here.
And this is when it starts to go bad.

Not your typical play date...

This is one of my favorite pictures.
I organized (and I use the term loosely) a play date for the women from my online fertility support group. There were 4 IVFs, 1 IUI and 1 "miracle" baby. Three of the women here had the same doctor. Two had their retrieval the same day at the same time. Oh and there were three sets of twins.
Sophie. It's hard to tell in the picture but she dragged around this
Etch A Sketch toy all day long.
Hannah with one shoe.
Lanie with Sydney and Justice, the sweetest little babies.
Holding Sydney brought back so many memories.
Kiane playing with her son Dylan.
Shelley multitasking. Hannah had the best time with her two boys.
