Sleeping Through The Night

It's amazing how two little girls born at the same time can be so completely different. They even sleep differently. Sophie spreads out and likes to start off with a paci. Hannah curls up into a little ball.Hannah is also a morning person. She did not get this from me. I am not, NOT a morning person. When I get up to feed her (at 5am no less) I am greeting by this happy, grinning, wiggly, giggly little baby who looks absolutely delighted to see me. I think this has less to do with the fact that she likes mornings but rather she does not like to go sleep. She does not like naps and she does not like bedtime. She always puts up a fight and cries whenever I put her down to sleep. Sometimes she cries for a few minutes and sometimes it's much longer.

Sophie one the other hand loves to sleep. Loves it! (Like her mom!) In fact when it's time for Sophie to sleep, she just goes to sleep...wherever she happens to be. It doesn't matter if she's in her bouncy seat, high chair, or on the activity mat. And she is not a morning person. When Sophie wakes up she needs a few minutes to collect herself. She does not want to be picked up right away. And she is cranky in the morning.

Sophie is also a very deep sleeper. Hannah however wakes up if I breathe too loud from the next room.
The good news is that they are both sleeping through the night. Sophie actually started sleeping through the night over a month ago. Hannah only a few weeks ago. I haven't let myself believe it until now. What a wonderful thing it is when your babies sleep through the night. What a different world.

Gosh....mine stillllll don't sleep through the night...but thankfully there are not diaper changes or feedings....just finding lost binks in the dark. I'm glad they are doing so well and giving you some much needed solid sleep! :)
