Well, it was inevitable. My babies starting to have (gasp!) minds of their own.
My sweet, complacent babies that I could just cart everywhere are
starting to change.
It started off small. Like the tears I would get when I put the TV remote out of reach if they tried to play with it.
Last week I got my first double tantrum. At the end of my Stroller Fit class everyone takes their babies out so they can play together. When it was time to go I picked Hannah up and put her in the stroller and she immediately screamed and started crying. She clearly was not done playing. And Sophie cried, arched her back and slumped down in the seat whenever I tried to put her in the seat restraint. It was quite the display. They put up enough fuss that the instructor asked if everything was okay. Oh, good times.
On different note, Hannah is very close to crawling. At first she tried a sort of straight legged push up. But now she's learning to bend her knees. She's managed a little bit of forward movement but nothing consistent. Eek. I'm happy and terrified all at the same time. She's also starting to get her bottom teeth!
