Awesome

I can't even begin to describe the awful day I had. It started off with a bath (for them, not me) if that tells you anything. Needless to say I was thrilled to finally have a moment to brush my teeth and do something with my hair. The girls were in the playroom and I was upstairs blow drying my hair when Hannah comes strolling into the bathroom. At first I thought I had left the baby gate open but when I checked, it was shut tight. I said "Hannah, did you climb over the gate?" She said "Yes." For some reason though it didn't really register with me that my daughter climbed over the baby gate. I thought there might be a more logical explanation.

Later, I was cleaning up after breakfast when I noticed it was quiet. Too quiet. I looked into the playroom and saw Sophie standing next to the (locked) gate. I said "Sophie, where is Hannah?" She pointed to the top of the stairs and said "Up there." I went upstairs and found Hannah sitting in the bathroom sink, brushing her teeth.

So, we now know that Hannah is able to scale the baby gate. I don't know what I am going to do but I think an ankle monitoring bracelet is in her future. Or a cow bell.
Hannah could have gotten into anything during her brief brush with freedom. She could have jumped on the bed, hid in the closet, gone through the dresser drawers. But what she decided she really wanted to do was brush her teeth.
Sophie fast asleep on the floor during the "letter movie". She's exhausted after what was obviously a very exciting day.
A little pampering. Now if only they would give me a pedicure instead of the other way around. Because I could use a little pampering!
