Naps and Words

I keep thinking that Sophie and Hannah would enjoy snuggling in bed together for a nap. I made the mistake of suggesting it a second time. Sophie got so excited when I mentioned it. She asked for all her favorite toys from her crib and put them in Hannah's crib. Got everything situated just right. Unfortunately when Hannah saw what was going on she cried and said "Noooooo!" She did not want to share her crib. So poor Sophie had to sleep by herself. She took it well but I felt really bad for suggesting it in the first place.

But that doesn't mean Hannah doesn't care about Sophie. She always wants to know where Sophie is. For example if I put her in the car first, she starts asking "So? So? So?" And if I take too long getting Sophie she starts getting upset and shouts "So So! So So!"

Oh and Hannah is big on the word "no" as in "Noooooooo". And if that isn't enough she has perfected the "look". Or the stink eye. This squinty, scrunched up face to let you know she is NOT happy. Let's say she wants cheese but I have the audacity to serve peas instead. Stink eye. Or maybe she wanted to watch Yo Gabba Gabba but I insultingly decided to put on the news instead. Stink eye.

Sophie on the other hand likes to say "Yes!" for everything...
"Did you have fun today?" "Yes!"
"Do you want to play on the swings?" "Yes!"
"Do you have a dirty diaper?" "Yes!....NO!" (Ha!)

And she is such a chatterbox. I can't believe I was worried about her. She talks all the time. To her teddy bear (Chaucer), to the kids at the play area, to everyone. She spent a good 5 minutes talking to a little girl at the mall today. And not one word of it was in English. She was so animated, pointing to Hannah and the other toys and the little girl just sat there and nodded her head. What a little sweetheart.
