Bees and Kicks

Sophie loves to sing. She sings all the time in the car. And don't get me started on dancing. She's a dancing queen. She also loves to do the Beehive song. That used to be her favorite finger play and I guess it still is but now she like to do it to me instead of the other way around. She even pauses before she "tickles" me like I used to do to her. Oh and before she started doing it to me, she would do it to herself...tickling and all.

Hannah likes to announce her actions. For example if she kicks something she will shout "kick!" We were playing in the snow today and she would say "step" and step on the snow. Every time she stepped on the snow. And when she would throw a snowball she'd say "throoooow!"

Last weekend we went to the mountains and had a blast:

Daddy and his girls.
Sledding!
Two sisters and a sled. And some nice shades!
Daddy and Sophie on the bunny slope.
Mommy and Hannah watching from the side.
Why should the kids have all the fun?!
Ski Bunny alert!
Group photo!
Classic Hannah. She hasn't figured out how to do a "thumbs up". She points her fingers instead.

Too much cuteness

Last week I let the girls play on their own while I cleaned the kitchen. They were playing so well together... running around, giggling, and sharing toys. Very cute. All of a sudden I hear one of them shout what sounded like "hat!" I peek in and see them hugging each other and giggling. They were saying "hug!" not "hat!" How cute! But wait, it gets better. They start running around and playing again and a minute later Sophie shouts "hug!" They stop what they're doing and hug again. This went on for about 10 minutes with each one stopping and shouting "hug!" I thought I was going to just die of cuteness. (Sigh) Just when they start to make you crazy with whining and fighting they do something cute like this and your forget all about the not so fun stuff.

Here is the kitchen we finally put together. It was their Hanukkah present but they got so many toys that we decided to wait. Since Craig was going out of town for a few days I figured now would be a good time for some distraction.
Does anyone else find it funny that the kitchen comes with a phone? They have a million toy phones with buttons and lights but they loved this cheap plastic one that doesn't do anything. Of course!

Fun with Aunt Leigh Leigh

It's been a while since they last saw Aunt Leigh but Sophie took to her right away.
Hannah was a little shy at first but soon joined the party. Notice she's using her foot to turn the pages.
And showing off her building skills.
Spending some time at the park.
Just because the step is bigger than you doesn't mean you can't climb up!
Hooray for a fun day with Aunt Leigh!

Guess who POOPED IN THE POTTY!?!?!

Sophie!!!

I will spare everyone the 30 or so pictures I took of Sophie, the potty and the poop. But hooray!

Pottie Party

It's Sophie's turn!

What's going on here and why are you so excited about these funny chairs?
What the heck are these things?
Okay, I get it...
They're not chairs. They're step stools!
What kind of crazy book is this?! Poopy in the potty?!? That's silly!
Wait a minute, she likes it! She really likes it.
Hooray for potties!

Dum Du Dum Dum

DUMMMMMM!
Potties!
It was time. I thought it would be a good idea to introduce them to Hannah while Sophie was still sleeping.

Thanks Mom! I like these new chairs.
Hmmm...what does this thing do?
Party hat?
Oh, okay...an instruction manual.
Getting right to work...
This is great. Now I can finally touch the roof of my playhouse! I wonder what else I'll be able to reach now.
