Punk Rock Girls

Last week the girls had Crazy Hair Day at camp.  When I told them about it that morning they said "We don't want crazy hair!"  They complained about it ALL the way to the drugstore (to get colored hairspray).  When they saw the different color hairsprays they completely changed their tune.  They had a great time deciding between the pink, the purple and the blue.  Ultimately they settled on pink which turned out more like red.

Daniel and his family came to visit this weekend at the end of their family vacation.  We all had a great time.  Especially Sophie and Hannah who loved getting to know their cousins.  Lily was very sweet.  She colored with the girls and sang to them.  She gave each of them a purse which was so nice.  Benjamin and Isaac played with them endlessly.  I don't think I've ever seen Sophie and Hannah laugh so much! It was great for me catching up with Daniel and Christy.  Overall it was loud and a little chaotic at times but so much fun.  I hope we can all get together again sometime soon!

At bedtime a few nights ago, Sophie wasn't going down without a fight.  Literally.  She refused to stay in her bed.  Actually she refused to stay in her room.  We finally put her in the guest room because she was keeping Hannah awake.  Usually she will go to bed in the guest room but nope that didn't work either.  She kept opening the door and walking out.  Finally I just held the door shut for a minute.  Sophie got so mad that she yelled "Open the freaking door!"  Craig and laughed our asses off.  Silently.
