Random Moments

Hannah likes to say pabana for banana and paboon for balloon. Sophie sometimes says weeahweena for ballerina but she's getting better at it.

Hannah slapped some bubbles on her face and shouted "I have a mustache! I am the DOCTOR!" Then they laughed like maniacs like it's the funniest thing ever. They kept repeating it over and over. "I have a mustache! I am the doctor!" Their next bath didn't have bubbles so after pretending their washcloths were bathing suits, they put them over the mouths and shouted "I am the doctor!" I don't know where they get this from or why they think it's so hilarious.

Right now Hannah is all about leg warmers. I noticed that she likes to pull her socks all the way up to her knees. I thought she might like an actual pair of knee high socks but of course I couldn't find any in her size. I did see a pair of "baby legs" at Target and bought some. They fit and now she wears the all.the.time. Her go to outfit is leg warmers, Sophie's tutu (she refuses the wear her tutu which is exactly the same as Sophie's but in her size), heels, and her ladybug "ears" or antenna. I've been reading the Ladybug Girl books to them and for a while, Hannah only wanted to wear an old Ladybug costume. Now it's just the "ears".

Ski Bunnies Part II

We took the girls to the beginner's hill at Bachelor Gulch. We weren't sure what to expect. Hannah did not enjoy her last experience on skis.

Daddy and Sophie on the magic carpet.
Here we go!
Hannah's turn. Is that a smile?!
Sophie was having the best time. She told Craig that she wanted to go by herself.
Hannah was having just as much fun with Pop Pop.
Snowball fight. Can you spot the snowball? Can you take a guess where it's headed? Ouch.
Sophie and Hannah's idea of a snowball fight was walking up to us and pushing the snowball into our legs. Each time Sophie would say "Here it goes!"
I love the devilish look on Hannah's face.

Snow Days and Sick Days and More Sick Days

We've had a lot of snow lately and a lot of sick girls. First Hannah was sick. Then Sophie was sick. Now Hannah is sick again. Needless to say we've spent a lot of time indoors. Here are a few of our favorite projects.

This was a big hit. A baking pan, some dishwashing detergent and straws=two very happy girls. Another mom suggested I fill a pan with water and dishwashing liquid and let them blow bubbles. It was a big hit.

Even better. I made some dyed pasta for Sophie and Hannah to play with. They made necklaces...
And sorted them into different jars.
This seriously kept them entertained for hours. But all good things must come to an end. By day two, they figured out how to squash the noodles into a million pieces on the floor which they decided was much more entertaining than sorting them in glass jars.

And finally, egg carton flowers.

We did manage to get out and play in the snow!

Putting them to work! Just kidding. Mom Mom bought them these kids size snow shovels and they loved them. We had a lot of fun even though Craig had to redo the part of the driveway he had already cleared:)
A makeshift sled. Pulling the girls around on our giant snow shovel.
Making a snowman. Sophie kept insisting he needed a scarf.
