Fun times!

Today I cleaned out the guest room which is where I keep the Pack N Play. I decided to bring it out and let the girls play with it one last time before it goes back to Mom Mom's house.

Why is it that some days I can't seem to do anything right but other days all they need is a Pack N Play or a few shirts on their heads and they're happy?

I can't think of anything more fun than a bunch of shirts piled on your head!

Ch Ch Ch Changes

I just couldn't put it off any longer. It was time to turn their cribs into toddler beds. Hannah can easily get out of her crib but she has a difficult time getting back in. Between me worrying about her getting hurt climbing in and Sophie getting hurt climbing out, I decided to go ahead and put them in toddler beds.

Well, they thought it was the best thing since Honey Nut Cheerios! I couldn't get them out of their room. They played in their beds for a long time, getting just the right number of blankets and stuffed animals. I finally told them it was time to come downstairs for dinner. Sophie said "No! I want to sleep."

Great, then this whole toddler bed thing should be a piece of cake, right? Right?

Well, come bedtime and Sophie would not stay in the bed so I told her the next time she gets out, I'm turning it to face the wall. She got out so I turned it to face the wall. She fell asleep almost immediately. Then Hannah wanted her crib to face the wall because Sophie's crib was facing the wall. Oy. So we're (almost) back to square one.

Nana and Bubby and Opa

Nana came to visit for a few days and we got together with Opa and Bubby to take the girls to the park. It was a gorgeous day and everyone had a lot of fun!

Lockdown

Today I decided to take another mom's advice and take the bottom off of Hannah's crib. This makes the crib a little taller and more difficult to climb out.

I was having an awful, awful day. Sophie and Hannah were getting into everything. The difference is I can put Sophie in the crib while I clean up a mess (in this case it was the bathroom next to their room). Hannah however insists on climbing out of her crib every two minutes and sneaking into other parts of the house. I was getting beyond frustrated. At one point I got so mad that I grabbed a screw driver and immediately took the bottom out of the crib. I put Hannah back in her crib when I was done and said "Yeah Hannah, how do you like them apples!" And walked out of the room. I was feeling very smug and proud of myself.

And five minutes later she was out.
